The brief was to create a range of branded merchandise that celebrates Hovis’ rich and wonderful past. I created a range of merchandise ideal for family homes, by incorporating the Hovis logo and memorable phrases from their past, It has a nostalgic feel with a contemporary edge.

The brief was to produce an eye-catching book cover design for, ‘Perfume’ by Patrick Suskind. The novel is about murder’s overwhelming sense of smell and his violent attraction to beauty. My design tries to capture the themes from the book using bold typography to compliment the design.

The brief was to create a contemporary brand that is a fusion of Asian Cuisine yet holds the essence of the underground sex industry of the 1800’s. Sohospooner has a sexy, inviting appeal with a modern day twist on food fusion and sex.

The brief was to create a poster campaign that reinstates The Body Shop as the original pioneers of ethical beauty. With so many advertising campaigns jumping on the all natural bandwagon, I created a campaign based on honesty taking The Body Shop back to its roots with a cheeky tone.

The brief was to explore any chosen ordinary site and communicate five aspects about it in an interesting way. I choose the HSBC cashpoint, I created a booklet on ‘cashpoint etiquette’. The narrative of the book follows through a visit to the cashpoint from queuing to getting your cash. I have taken a confident and quiet visual approach, using a clean, simple format, which compliments my idea well.

This project was based on how we use time. I explored the meaning of procrastination and created a piece that would provoke students to think about how they spend their time. The calendar outcome works well, it has a light, playful style yet encourages students to manage their time better.

The aim of this project was to explore the word nanny state and portray it in an original way. Taking a witty approach, I focused on the absurdity of the nanny state. I pushed the aspect of safety, authority and interference to the extreme in a how to eat fruit safety guide. The piece aims to make people think about how the nanny state is killing common sense.
